WARBURTON police are warning locals travelling along Acheron Way to remember it is still a popular route for logging trucks.
The warning comes after an accident last Monday between a logging truck and a utility vehicle.
Sergeant Kevin Largue from Yarra Junction attended the incident that saw the road closed for a number of hours.
He said that the accident was a low speed crash on a bend of the winding road.
“Luckily no one was hurt, but there was substantial damage to the utility and the steering of the logging truck,” Sgt Largue said.
Sgt Largue said that it was important for drivers to remember that Acheron Way was a narrow and winding, dirt road in some places and that drivers remain alert.
Be alert on Acheron Way
