MUSICIANS from the Little Yarra Steiner School are preparing for a wild time in Warburton.
Teachers and students who are part of the school’s highly acclaimed music program will put on a Mother’s Day gig at the Wild Thyme Cafe to raise funds for the school’s band room.
The varied talents of the musicians will go on show with an eclectic range of world music, funk and rock.
The three hour concert has been timed (or Thymed, perhaps!) to make the most of the traditional Mother’s Day routine.
“We’re suggesting families take mum out for lunch and stay on for the concert at 3pm, or come along to the concert and head off for dinner afterwards,” said music teacher Michael Arvanitakas.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for teens to 18 and a gold coin donation for kids 12 and under.
The money will go towards improving the acoustics in the band room.
