Actor to deliver wise words

CELEBRATED Australian actor Bud Tingwell will speak at a celebration of his peers in Healesville in April.
The actor and producer, who has epitomised the best of Australian theatre, film, television and radio over a long career, is guest speaker at the Melba Community Support Program’s Celebrating Older People event at Swinburne TAFE on 9 April. The annual event, which has, in the past, celebrated older women, is branching out this year to bring men and women together for a special get-together which will include the launch of the Listen to Older Voices Archive Program.
The highlight of the day for many will undoubtedly be the opportunity to meet and hear the popular star of shows including Homicide, The Castle, Jindabyne and his recent stage play The Carer.
The afternoon of entertainment also includes displays of arts and crafts and a light lunch.
