Food safe a trivial matter

By KATH GANNAWAY

A BEAUTIFULLY crafted colonial-style food safe will take pride of place at a Warburton Men’s Shed event later this month at the Warburton Golf Club.
The reproduction safe, made by Shed members from recycled floor boards and featuring punched metal kangaroo design insets, is one of a number of prizes up for grabs at the Old Time Dance and Trivia Night on Saturday afternoon, 12 October.
The event is being staged as part of Senior’s Week but is open to all ages.
“We would love people of all ages to join us, kick up their heels a bit, have a bit of fun with the trivia and help us raise money for the Men’s Shed,” said Kath Holton who co-ordinates the shed as part of Wesley Mission’s Melba Program.
Bookings are essential, phone 5962 1033.
