THEY look better, they’re faster, easier to use, don’t freeze and have more program options.
Students at Don Valley Primary School needed very little prompting last week as to why their new computers are just awesome.
The school received $32,945 for an extensive upgrade of their information, communication and technology (ICT) facilities under the federal government’s Investing in School’s program.
The upgrade included a suite of IT bells and whistles including a scanner, a state-of-the-art printer, digital camera, earphones for each student and new carpet.
Additional funding has enabled the school to put in improved surveillance and security systems, electronic whiteboards and make improvements to the art room.
The new ICT room was officially opened in December.
