AUSTRALIA’S only dedicated sparkling wine show is at the heart of the Marysville Sparkling Wine Festival … but there’s very much more to enjoy in the week leading up to the Melbourne Cup.
Football legend Sam Kekovich is this year’s Ambassador for the week-long festival. Businesses and makers of fine food and wine in the Marysville and surrounding area will showcase what a reborn Marysville has to offer visitors to the region.
This year events incorporated in The Sparkling Wine Festival are The Australian Sparkling Wine Show, the Business Breakfast at Steavenson Falls with Kekovich as guest speaker, the Corporate Golf Day at Marysville District Country Club, and the Cup Eve Gala Dinner where winning wines are on the menu and awards for the Wine Show presented.
For lovers of great wine, the wine show on Tuesday and Wednesday, 23 and 24 October, will be a highlight.
The Business Breakfast and The Golf and Sparkling Wine Degustation Day are held on Thursday, 1 November. Organisers are thrilled with preparation for the breakfast which they say is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
Dining with a backdrop of the magnificent Steavenson Falls, guests will enjoy world class food and the company, humour and wisdom of ‘Slammin’ Sam Kekovich’.
Following on, at the Marysville Golf Club, visitors have the chance to join him for a round of golf with some of the leading lights in Australian business, wine making and tourism.
A total of 36 teams will compete in a four ball best ball 18-hole round and will include nine holes of the finest examples of food and wine matching the Marysville Triangle Region has to offer, as well as local beers.
