HEALESVILLE skater Angus Muffatti is officially a champion in-line hockey player.
The 12-year-old Healesville High School student played for Victoria in the National In-Line Hockey Championships on Sunday and came away with the under 12s title.
Angus started playing in-line hockey two years ago after a fun day at the Lilydale rink.
He then joined the Lilydale Rats as a defence player and was selected for the Victorian team four months ago.
The Victorians defeated Western Australia 7-1 in the final after earlier eliminating New South Wales and South Australia.
In only his second year playing the sport Angus has shown a talent for, and a love of, in-line hockey, which he says he plans to continue for some time, hopefully representing Victoria in the under 14s next year.
