THE Seville Chamber of Commerce has been given the green light by the council to move into the Seville Maternal and Child Health Building.
The chamber was up against two other community groups for the prime spot, including Seville Girl Guides and Brownies and St Paul’s Anglican’s Church but the council decided in favour of the chamber claiming it ‘offered the broadest base of use’ for the facility.
Chamber president Robert Pace said the chamber planned to work with the other community groups to ensure everyone’s needs were met.
“It’s going to be a community facility where community groups can hold meetings and other functions,” Mr Pace said.
“It will be open to all community groups to engage local people.”
Mr Pace said the chamber would be meeting with council representatives soon to discuss their plans for the facility.
