NATIONAL Tree Day didn’t slip under the radar for the Yarra Glen Guides, who enjoyed a day of planting with their families at the Guide property on Sunday, 22 July.
The tree-planting project was made possible by the Mt Toolebewong Landcare Group who generously donated the funds.
Other supporters included the Yarra Glen native plant nursery and Spotswood Holdings Yarra Glen, which donated soil and mulch.
The project will help the Guides gain their challenge badges, which requires them to do something good for the environment.
The Guides unit meets every Wednesday at the Guide Hall on Oliver Street in Yarra Glen.
