A WARBURTON East resident has had to temporarily jail her pet goose after it became wild and aggressive towards the other geese.
Frances Mikulec has three geese and is now looking to relocate the young male goose because of his violent behaviour towards an older male goose.
“I just need a bit of help you see, because this old goose is a gentle old fellow and he keeps getting attacked by this younger more aggressive bird,” Ms Mikulec said.
“Everytime I go outside I find him with his head bleeding and his feathers scattered on the ground.”
Ms Mikulec now wants to try and relocate the goose in the hope of finding him a new home.
“The property would need to be fenced in to keep the bird safe from foxes,” she said. “But otherwise they are just happy grazing on grass.”
The goose is 12 months old, pure white with a couple of dabs of grey.
“He is beautifully healthy having been fed on wild bird seed,” Ms Mikulec said. “He’s been treated as well as any human being and I am looking for a home that will do just the same.”
