EVER wondered if your property could be a tourist destination? Now is the time to find out.
Next week, Yarra Valley and Dandenongs Marketing will host a Tourism on Your Property field day to provide local farmers and rural landowners an insight into agri- and nature-based tourism.
The one-day forum will be hosted on a working agri-tourism property and includes an inspection tour of other local properties to give people the chance to see if this approach will work for their property.
“This collaborative project will provide a valuable insight into important issues to consider prior to investing time and resources in a tourism development,” CEO of Yarra Valley and Dandenongs Marketing, Jennifer Hutchinson said.
“Participants will witness first hand the mechanics of tourism on the land and will also benefit with a preliminary assessment that assists in identifying whether your location and your property have the attributes for a successful tourism venture.”
