IT’S NOT just the ‘small’ questions that get answered in Gretel Killeen’s “My Sister’s An Alien”.
What happens when your sister gets squashed to the size of a strawberry, caught up in your favourite yoyo and thrown into outer space?
What do cats like to read?
How does the Man in the Moon travel around the galaxy?
What happens when your mum loses her glasses and mistakes you for a tennis racquet?
Ms Killeen tackles these important enough questions head on, but neither does she shy way from the big ones where do all the missing socks go to?
All will be revealed when Terrapin Theatre presents “My Sister’s an Alien” on stage at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre on 27 September.
From Ms Killeen’s irreverent and popular book, Terrapin Theatre has created a highpaced, humorous production that constantly surprises and entertains.
Following the adventures of two siblings, Zeke and Eppie, and their slightly befuddled mum, the show explores family relationships from a kid’s perspective.
Aimed at children from five to 12, My Sister’s An Alien incorporates multimedia elements with an impressive collection of 25 visually inspiring puppets.
It’s nottobemissed, weird and wacky live theatre for kids at its best.
The Warburton performance is part of a Regional Arts Victoria touring program visiting nine regional centres over the school holidays.
Terrapin Theatre will present two sessions, at 11am and 1pm, at Warburton on Tuesday, 27 September.
To book phone the Upper Yarra Arts Centre on 5966 5160.
