THE 25th annual Vintage Crank Up was held over the weekend at the old railway station in Yarra Junction.
About 30 engines were officially cranked up, making it one of the more noisier events of the Yarra Valley.
Revving engines and the clinking of machinery could be heard from all over town, as vintage loyalists dusted off their old engines and got them running again.
President of the Upper Yarra Historical Society Keith Johnson said it was a memorable day.
“We had a great weekend, with the good weather, plenty of people and lots of engines,” Mr Johnson said.
“It was the first time we’d held the event over two days, so we were very pleased with the results.”
More than 500 people passed through the gates, raising a substantial amount of money for the Upper Yarra Museum.
