THE latest bone density testing and osteoporosis education program to help women and men assess their risk of bone fracture and prevent osteoporosis will be available at James Kwok Pharmacy in Woori Yallock on Monday, 3 October.
Established in 1995, Australian Bone Density Testing Centre conducts ultrasound bone density testing for assessment of risk of fracture due to osteoporosis.
“Our complete service provides information to satisfy growing community concern regarding osteoporosis prevention and bone health education,” medical adviser to the centre, Dr Max Holsman said. “By having a quick, accessible, painless, inexpensive bone density test you can assess your risk of fracture before you break a bone.
“The earlier you do something about assessing your fracture risk for osteoporosis the more time you will have to do something positive about maintaining healthy bones for life.”
Conducted by trained nurses each consultation costs just $45, takes only 15 minutes and results are immediately available.
Each person tested receives a written result which they can take to their doctor or health professional and an educational booklet with information on calcium, exercise and other lifestyle requirements for healthy bones and prevention of osteoporosis.
Available at select pharmacies Australia wide, testing is recommended for women 40 plus and men over 50, or anyone over the age of 20 who is concerned about the health of their bones.
Australian Bone Density Testing Centre is committed to fighting osteoporosis and promoting bone health. Book your test now at James Kwok Pharmacy Woori Yallock Shopping Centre by phoning 5964 6149 or for further information see the website at www.bonedensitytesting.com.au.
