A RECORD number of entrants participated in the Grand Valley Jumping Classic in Coldstream over the weekend.
More than 200 of Australia’s best riders from all around Victoria and interstate battled it out in front of 400 spectators at the two-day event.
Spectators enjoyed free entry and fine conditions as they watched international stars and Olympic riders compete in a range of events.
On Saturday, The Lyn Lupton Memorial Young Rider class was won by Ashley Clacy from Main Ridge, riding Image of Nobility, while The Orchard Manufacturing C and D Grade was won by Melissa Froesch from Broadford, riding Realto II.
The Haulton Constructions B and C Grade was won by Kristy Bruhn from Mount Gambier, on Harbarty with The HRF Civil Contracting 1.35m won by Greg Smith from Tynong North, riding Henry Higgs.
On Sunday, Phil Stephens from Lillico riding Hot Night took out The Saddle Up Saddleworld C and D Grade Championship while The RT Edgar Grand Prix was won by Becky Allen from Arthurs Creek, riding Koyuna Ted.
The Tylo Sauna and Steam Mini Prix was won by Greg Mason from Mirboo North, riding Marquis Sapphire and The NRG and Float Coat Company D Grade Championship was won by Colin Wareing from Modella riding SYM Ego Wave.
