Evelyn
WILLIAMSON, Roger – Family First
FAMILY First represents commonsense, mainstreamvalues and ordinary Victorian families.
As your local Family First candidate for Evelyn, my top priorities are to abolish stamp duty for first homebuyers, introduce a medical scholarship scheme to train more doctors, build a new dam to boost dwindling water supplies, reduce petrol tax, abolish Zones 2 and 3 inMelbourne’s public transport system and teach our kids values in schools such as honesty and respect. Strong families build strong communities – Vote 1 Family First.
McTAGGART, Heather – Labor
It has been my privilege over the last four years to meet with residents of our local townships.
Working alongside these residents and community organisations, I have been able to deliver many initiatives which have improved the lives of local families.
Facilities such as the new day hospital in Lilydale, natural gas to 6000 homes, road, transport and school improvements as well as funding grants to assist the many volunteers who work tirelessly in our communities.
I seek your support to enable me to continue working to make Evelyn the best place to work, live and raise a family.
BYRNE, Peter – People Power
Peter Byrne, ex-Olympian and now People Power candidate for Evelyn, knows first hand of the horrors a family can go through when a loved one develops a gambling addiction to poker machines.
With the number of pokies in Evelyn set to increase after the election, only People Power has the policies to not renew licences for Tattersalls and Tabcorp and to reduce the harm caused to families in Evelyn.
People Power is also the only party with a policy to improve conditions for people with a disability and their carers and to support more options for local transport.
INDIGO-ROSE, Justine – Australian Greens
Evelyn District needs the Greens in State Parliament.
We have been campaigning for reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and a transition to renewable energy for years.
These are among the most important issues we face.
I am a concerned parent trying to do my bit to guarantee a future for my children – and all future generations.
I am a small business operator from Montrose and a supporter of environment and cultural projects and groups in the district.
The Greens in State Parliament have forward thinking and long-term policies and will work to improve transport, health care and education services.
FYFFE, Christine –
Liberal
It’s time to get Victoria moving again. Victorians deserve better government and after seven years of Labor’s mismanagement and wasted opportunities, Ted Baillieu and the Liberal team have a clear ‘action’ plan that will mean things actually get done in our area – on-time and on-budget.
We can assist local families by providing free public transport for children and full-time students, abolishing Zone 3 fares and re-instating the pensioner rebate for vehicle registration.
We can start on the important infrastructure projects needed to secure our water supply and help local businesses create jobs.
With your support, we can get Victoria moving again.
Gembrook
WATSON, Gordon –
Australian Greens
GEMBROOK district has one issue which affects the whole of Melbourne – water supply!
The gathering crisis of climate change means we have to maximise the efficiency of our catchments at harvesting water and that means stopping logging in the catchments.
Voting ‘Green’ in the election will send a strong message to the Labor Government and Liberal Opposition, that logging in the Upper Yarra Dam catchment must be stopped for Melbourne’s sake.
Promises: Transport. Regular, frequent interval bus services connecting with rail and to major shopping centres, work areas and recreation locations, so that people can avoid using private cars for every journey.
ALLCOCK, Robyn –
People Power
Robyn Allcock is the CEO of a not-for-profit organisation, the author of People Power’s Greener Than the Greens environment policy and co-author of the party’s mental health and housing policies.
She has spent the past 25 years working as a senior manager in organisations fighting for improvements in preventive health, environment protection and services to people with mental illnesses and disabilities.
Robyn’s top issues for the election include reducing government waste so we can provide support to people who need it, better education, health and transport, improving regional and rural employment, addressing our environment crises and reforming state planning legislation.
WILDES, Simon – Liberal
Seven years of Labor has shown us exactly what they are capable of.
Seven years of looking into it, promising to fix it, waste and mismanagement, endless self promotion and spin and projects being delivered late and over budget.
Labor’s answer to every Liberal policy is it ‘can’t be done’.
Ted Baillieu and the Liberal team have a strong ‘action’ plan.
It’s fully budgeted, fully costed and will make Victoria the ‘can do’ state.
The Liberals have the real world experience to fix problems and deliver projects on time and on budget. Together, we will get Victoria moving again.

LOBATO, Tammy – Labor
It has been a privilege as a Member of Parliament to work closely with people and achieve so much.
I want the rebuilding to continue in our schools, health and transport, roads and infrastructure and community services.
I will work with the community to keep delivering with care and attention to people’s needs.
I want my constituents to be safe and healthy and that plan includes new police and CFA stations, plus more resources for mental health.
Our unique environment deserves protection through increasing public open space areas.
I will work for sustainable development including local jobs for local people.
McCONACHY, Peter – The Nationals
I’m a third generation Yarra Valley resident and I’m passionate about securing a better deal for our local area.
I’ve always been involved with my local community, be it working in the timber industry, farming, or playing for my local football club.
I believe our area has missed out on a fair share of funding for local services including hospitals, kindergartens, police and schools.
Our region is a great place to live but it could be so much better.
I‘m determined to get our fair share of funding for vital upgrades to local facilities and for top quality community services.
Seymour
DALMAU, Mike – Liberal
I BELIEVE in strong representation and I’m committed to meeting the needs of our community.
For far to long our State Government representation has been nothing more than mediocre and we deserve better!
I will stand up for this community to ensure our voice is heard – that’s my promise to you.
