STUDENTS at Millwarra Primary School have earned scholarships for their secondary education.
Six grade six students from the school have been awarded scholarships by the Upper Yarra Secondary College.
The scholarships assist students with the purchase of books, uniforms and school fees.
Andy Bennett, Millwarra’s chaplain, said the school was very proud of the students’ success. “To have students from our school take out six of the 10 scholarships is a great result for the students and for our school,” he said.
The six students, Anton Trigger, Tom Langmaid, Garth Wickens, Jason Braun, Isis Coon and Monique Carlyon, will commence studies at Upper Yarra Secondary College in 2007.
“Five students from the Millgrove campus and one from our East Warburton campus have shown academic excellence to earn these scholarships.”
