HEALESVILLE and Woori Yallock football clubs benefited from the Toyota Good for Footy program this year.
The program helped Healesville Football Club keep its supply of game footballs and medical necessities well stocked for the season, and the Woori Yallock Football Club will be improving facilities.
Ian Pollock, Healesville Toyota’s Dealer Principal said he is delighted to be in a position to help one of the oldest Victorian football clubs purchase critical items.
“The Healesville Football Club has a long history of supporting football in the area and has taken it to a very high standard,” said Mr Pollock.
“Over the years the club has produced excellent AFL talent, such as West Coast Eagle’s David Wirrpanda, and has consistently provided a great club atmosphere for hundreds of players and spectators.”
Toyota has distributed more than $207,000 to local footy clubs and leagues through a network of 55 dealers.
Greg Hay, Healesville Football Club president said sponsorship from Healesville Toyota played an integral role in helping deal with some of the club’s big expenses.
Club players also conduct Auskick programs at three local primary schools.
“We make sure the Auskick children have the opportunity to come onto the grounds at half time during the club games,” said Mr Hay.
Woori Yallock Football Club president Trevor Selby said they were also pleased to be included in the Toyota Good for Footy program.
“We will be improving the entertainment facilities at our local clubrooms, including laying new carpet and pine lining the foyer,” he said.
