THE Cecilian Singers have provided a musical antidote to Mondayitis at Healesville Walk shopping centre.
The women’s choir chose two recent Monday mornings to promote their choir and got shoppers and shopkeepers off to a great start to the working week in the process.
Songs from Oliver, standards including By the Light of the Silvery Moon, and a madrigal which Henry VIII claimed as his own were among the songs on their Monday morning play list.
The choir is looking for new members and member Lesley Conway said singing experience is not necessary – support and training are a part of rehearsals.
The choir will begin its Christmas program on Monday, 2 October.
Anyone who would like to sing, or find out more about the choir, can contact Ms Conway on 5962 2849, or by email to wisebutcranky@bigfoot.com.au.
