The Upper Yarra Pony Club are celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, with an event to be held in the beginning of June.

Founded in 1961 and the club soon after moved in to operate and run out of the Wesburn recreational reserve and has done so for the past 53 years.

The facilities include a large all-weather surfaced arena, a large grass arena, and a cross-country course catering for all levels, and they host two rally’s a month, every first and third Sunday.

The club is also hosting a gear market on Saturday 5 March for all horse necessities, where those with gear to sell can book a large bay for $25.

A canteen will be running and all stallholders can set up from 11am on the day. Details can be found on the Facebook event titled UYPC Gear Market.

If you were involved in this club in the past, the committee would love to have you attend their celebrations.
