Have your say on the future of our forests

By Jed Lanyon

A Regional Forest Agreement (RFA) community drop-in session will be held on 12 June at The Memo in Healesville at 12pm.

Each community drop-in session will run for 2 hours and will provide an opportunity for any member of the public to come along, ask questions and provide feedback on potential improvements to the Victorian RFAs.

The Victorian RFAs are agreements between the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of Victoria that establish the framework for the sustainable management of forests.

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning said that the Victorian and Australian governments are working together to deliver a modernised RFA framework that will meet the future needs of Victorian communities, industry and the environment.

You can help inform the future management of forests and meet with representatives leading the modernisation of the Victorian RFAs at the community drop-in session at Healesville.

Another community drop-in session will be held the following day at Powelltown Town Hall at 11am.
