Man flees car crash in Seville East

A man has fled on foot after a two-car collision on the Warburton Highway in Seville East at around 4.30pm Monday 15 April.

Police say that locals sighted a man running through paddocks heading towards Yellingbo after rear-ending a Nissan Patrol.

The man is yet to be found and Police believe he may have sustained facial injuries from the crash.

The offending vehicle was unregistered with Queensland licence plates.

The victim is believed to have escaped unharmed.

This crash follows a fatal collision on 4 April, where a 54-year-old Woori Yallock man died in the three-car collision.

VicRoads is considering improvements to the Warburton Highway in Seville East following that incident.

Local residents have taken action by creating a petition in hopes of having changes to make the road safer.The petition has several hundred signatures and counting, and can be found at: https://bit.ly/2Zn7Tnc
