More than 1,200 houses are without power this afternoon (19 July) in unplanned power outages from Dixons Creek through to Coldstream and Healesville.

Ausnet’s outage tracker shows 872 houses affected in Yarra Glen with 222 in Dixons Creek, seven in Steels Creek, 33 in Yering, 37 in Coldstream, 45 in Tarrawarra and 43 in Healesville.

The cause of the outages is under investigation with estimated restoration times between 8pm and 10.30pm tonight.

An Ausnet spokesperson has told the Mail power is being progressively being switched back on.
