The Little Yarra CFA is hosting a fire safety planning workshop on 6 December to help locals prepare for the fire season.
It takes place at the Little Yarra CFA and starts at 10am.
Residents from Gladysdale, Three Bridges, Glideroy and Powelltown are encouraged to attend the workshop in order to better understand the local bushfire risk.
The workshop will cover a range of topics such as learning how bushfires behave in the local environment, identifying one’s own limitations, capabilities and barriers to preparedness and developing a realistic, adaptable Bushfire Survival Plan.
The workshop will also cover the seasonal bushfire outlook, including the increased fire risk for north-east Victoria.
